Niners save lives at annual blood drive
Niners showed up in force at the 17th annual 49ers4Life Blood Drive this past Tuesday, Mar. 3, with more than 232 students, faculty and staff presenting to donate.
At the end of the day, the drive had pulled 252 units, exceeding the goal set by the American Red Cross. As a result of this single blood drive, UNC Charlotte has helped save as many as 756 lives!
We can’t forget to thank the student organizations who worked for months to register volunteers: Beta Alpha Psi, Charlotte Red Cross Club, Chi Phi Fraternity, CHSA, Kappa Alpha and Lambda Chi Alpha.
The Red Cross also awarded the drive’s top student recruiters: Halleluya Ayele, J.J. Dehner, Quinn Ready, Cambell Vander Haar, Camila Martinez Rondon and Neil Hartwick.
