2026-2027 Meal Plans

FALL 2026 AND SPRING 2027 MEAL PLANS

Meal plans give students access to a variety of convenient dining options right on campus. Fall semester plans are automatically renewed for the spring unless you change or cancel your meal plan.

Meal plan options are based on student type as determined by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions (first-year or upperclass), not based on number of credit hours.

Daily plans

All first-year residents living on campus must choose one of the daily plans. Daily plans are also available to commuters and upperclass students.

Block meal plans

Upperclass students living in required housing – Holshouser, Hunt, Sanford, Scott and the suites in Belk, Hawthorn, Laurel, Levine, Lynch, Miltimore, Oak, Wallis and Witherspoon – must choose either a daily plan or block meal plan.

Block plans are also available to commuters and students in non-required housing.

Commuter plans

Commuters and upperclass residents assigned to non-required housing may purchase any meal plan, including any Straight Declining Balance plan.  

Understanding your meal plan

Meals

Use a meal to enter one of the two all-you-care-to-eat dining halls on campus, Social 704 or SoVi. Meals can also be used at Charlotte Greens in South Village. Students must wait 15 minutes in between using meals at different locations.

Students can bring guests into the dining halls by using guest meals. A maximum of three (3) guest meals may be used at one time unless you ask the cashier. 

Meals and guest meals expire at the end of the semester.

Before purchasing a meal plan, review the meal plan contract terms and conditions.

Declining Balance

Declining Balance (DB) funds may be used throughout the semester including breaks, at any campus dining venue, including concessions and convenience stores.

At the end of the semester, any unspent funds will carry over to the next semester until the next academic year.
